Originally issued in 1995, 'Heaven Taste' comprises a selection of b-sides, rarities and outtakes recorded in the band's home studio between 1991-93. Focusing on the more filmic and atmospheric aspects of the band's output, the album boasts a rich and seamless fusion of ambient, ECM jazz and electro-trance influences.
Highlights include the title track (a powerful instrumental collaboration with ex-Japan/Rain Tree Crow personnel Jansen, Barbieri and Karn) and an inspired cover version of the Nick Drake classic Road. This is the 2002 Hidden Art/Third Stone reissue of the album - remastered, repackaged and featuring an extended 22-and-a-half minute version of the title track. |
