'Heaven Taste' comprises a selection of b-sides, rarities and outtakes recorded in the band's home studio between 1991-93. Focusing on the more filmic and atmospheric aspects of the band's output, the album boasts a rich and seamless fusion of ambient, ECM jazz and electro-trance influences.
Highlights include the title track (a powerful instrumental collaboration with ex-Japan/Rain Tree Crow personnel Jansen, Barbieri and Karn) and an inspired cover version of the Nick Drake classic Road. This is the original 1995 CD issue of the album, which has been superseded by the improved 2005 reissue. It features a slightly shorter version of the title track. |
